Case back

modern Rotary watches like this have notoriously tight case backs, with a very fine lip for the tool to pry on.

If you don't have experience and the right tools, forget it, find a watchmaker. You'll also need to get this back together once it's open which will require a case back press. No you don't have to remove the crown.

I have 2 Rotary watches and yes, the cases are REALLY tight. Even watchmakers have trouble opening them freehand, a case pry tool is the only way to go, unless you want to try your hand with a very thin dull knife blade and risk slashing yourself in the process.
