Antique / old watch repairs.

Recommended Posts

Hiya,

I currently use a watch repairer who is awesome at new watches and watches around 20 years old or so, but anything antique like pocket watches or early wristwatches they always return with 'parts worn/obsolete'. I'm not even sure they inspect the watches before they send them back.

Is there anyone in the UK that can tackle these at all that you could recommend?

Thank you,

Alan.

I can imagine that to be a problem sure, and I can understand that the company wouldn't just strip a watch just to find out that it can't be done economically. However it would be nice to find someone who tackles the older pieces just so I can give the opportunity to make their own mind up.

One day I'll teach myself how to do it, which is the aim. [emoji106]
