I am about to work on a vintage citizen watch.
I removed the movement from the case but I am stuck on removing the automatic rotor..
It seems that my screwdrivers won't do the job..
Any advice would be helpful thank you.
Hello I had a chance to acquire to two watch movement+dial sets which are from JLC and AP
However, I am having trouble finding cases to fit these.
Could anyone help me find cases that would fit these movements?
Non genuine cases are OK.
Had to get new winding stem to an Omega cal. 342 , beacuse not original crown.
Got an replacement from Ronda, but does not fit.
Tried to fit the stem yesterday, but Im not able to get in in right in the movment.
The original just go right in every time, but the new Ronda stem will not go properly in.
Are there anyone that have some ide why this not fit?
Can the notch in the stem where I have put red arrow have somthing todo with this??
Its slightly smaller on the Ronda stem... se photo
Lefty loosey righty tighty as far as I know. It will come off.perhaps a previous owner put some sort of sealant on the threads.or to might be corroded. "STAINLESS " steel is still steel. It will corrode.
Can anyone please help me figure out how to fix the pendulum in this old Welch wall clock? There seems to be a suspension spring mount missing and there is no spring, crutch etc. Just the pendulum rod with a slot in it and a hook on the top. From pics on line I can see that there should be some sort of brass rod crutch assembly from the slot but I have no idea how this attaches or interacts with the pinion what the hook on the pendulum attaches to and how/if a suspension spring should come into play. Any ideas anyone?
