New bench!

Been looking for a table or something for several months to put one of the small table top watchmakers benches on without much luck.  Decided to see what was in the local antique mall in the next town over and found this watchmakers bench!!  WAHOO!!  It is not the nicest one that Rosberg made but it is solid and has lots of character from use over what I assume was many years.  Gonna mount my lamp to it today and get my meeger set of tools and projects moved and put away.

that is awesome! it looks like there is plenty of drawer space. that is a beautiful old bench with a lot of character. any idea of it's age?

It is hard to say.  From a quick google search it seems Rosbergs most prolific time was in the 20's and 30's but I have not been able to find when he actually quit business.  Judging from joinery of the drawers and the use of slotted screws instead of phillips (only 4 screws in the whole thing) my assumption is pre WWII but that's the best I can do.  

 

I would love more info from the group.
