Best way to get pocket watch jewels?

Recommended Posts

I have a 16s Waltham Riverside pocket watch that needs an upper center wheel jewel.  What is the best way to go about getting this jewel?  Is there a place I can buy one, or do I have to keep spending ridiculous amounts of money on eBay, hoping to get the right one?

Back in my days you could buy jewels by the size, type and by an assortment from good material suppliers. Today because of the internet you can even buy broken down movements for spare parts. Waltham pocket watches are very popular and it shouldn't be a problem. Have you tried suppliers?

For American pocket watch parts, I use (for jewels, probably in this order)

Bob McKnight :  [email protected]       (has a huge range of parts)

Brian Cavanaugh- [email protected]

I started by restoring Walthams, I have 3 nice Riverside and have got several jewels, including centre wheel from Bob
