Polishing Kit - Need Some Help With All The Components

Having a clear out and i have found a polishing kit given to me by a retired watchmaker a long time ago.. polishing is one thing i have never attempted and i must say im a bit lost with all the grades and type of mops. 

 

Any guidance will be appreciated.

Hi Jonathan,

 

I believe you have most, if not all, the wheels you'll ever need. Only, in my mind, you may need more of the "pastes" options/grits -- as far as I have read in different places about this matter. I know some of our members who do that will jump in soon and I'll be an avid reader/learner as well. It looks like a nice set up to me, all in all.

First of all what do you want to polish?

 

Great question.. 

 

Im guessing all the old watch cases i have.. but i assumed there just plated and you couldnt get the scratches out without taking the full plate off
