Hello to all . I'm new to the forum and have enjoyed all the posts. They have helped me plenty in my watch repair and collecting times. I have approx 150 watches in my never-to-be-sold collection and have embraced watch repair as my passion and to make my collection larger. I hope to be able to help others as I hope others will be able to help me on this forum in our pursuit of watch nirvana. Thank you for allowing my introduction

Welcome to the ever expanding forum. How long have you been collecting? 150 watches good heavens I don't own a single one. I've been retired for many years but I like to help out on when I can. I'm more into clocks.

30 years I've been collecting. started when I was probably 5 with a Fischer price digital time only watch that I still have running today and I never stopped. I took apart my first bulova and completely destroyed it when I was about ten, but as they say, I learned a lot , which I did.

Only one watch out of 150, working?!  Are you serious!...It worries me the "never stopped" part: Is it for collecting or for taking apart each one of your watches? That's definitely a learning experience and should be a new record. I believe Guinness will give you a million dollars...good for more watches to take apart! :)

Ha ha no bob the first one I learned on. The 150 are the working ones. I never stopped buying and working on them and collecting them. It's definetly a passion. Wow if I destroyed 150 watches that would be a shame

Very welcome to you joey. Wow that's a lot of watches. I have 13 pocket watches and 12 wrist watches and thought I was well OTT.

Joey welcome to the forum. I thought I had a lot of watches--about 38 wearable....Then there are the numerous little mechanical corpses laying around hoping to one day be brought to life. Welcome to the forum.

Jeff very nice to meet a fellow watch addict. Please do not assume that I am bragging, very humble but proud. Now to up the ante how many non runners and parts watches do you have. I think I have enough to put frei out of business haha. How long have you been collecting sir

Not at all my good man, its more of an achievement! I've been collecting timepieces for 21 years now and over the years, I have been extremely lucky to acquire what I have. Good question with the non runners. This is sad but I didn't count those as part of the collection and there's about 30 or so in the pile plus another small pile of pocket watches with 20 more wristwatches coming in for me to service, lol. (Plus 15 OEM NOS one jewel movements) Some deals are just too good to pass up;) I've also recently upgraded my tools, now it's just the know-how is what I need more of! Hairsprings make me want to pull my hair out:/
