I'm waiting on a Buren 10.5 Grand Prix similar to this one. While the one coming is a sidewinder, I'm not certain that the dial/numerals are the same. Will post shots once it arrives (possibly as soon as this Saturday 16 APR).

So oops I've been on ebay again and bought some more watches mainly for the parts Seiko 5 I think there are two.

I plan to restore those two Seiko 5's

should receive them next week. I'm house bound at the moment " COVID " Yep the wife caught it from a 'of all things' at a medical meeting and has been lock in the bed room since Sunday But I now have it.

I have had 4 booster jab's last one 11 day's ago O'well it's got me lets hope it's going to be just like having a cold

New Noob Daytona V4 with 4130 movement  it didn’t come from watch time it’s the only pic I found.

This curious little ladies pendant watch was manufactured long before transparent Swatches arrived on the scent.

I'm going to guess this is from the late 1950s or early 1960s, but it is difficult to tell, as the caliber looks older, perhaps 1940s.  There is quite a lot of wear on the acrylic and the plating, and since it is not shock protected, there is a pretty high chance the balance pivots may be damaged, but even if it proves unrepairable it is still quite an interesting piece.

That vanguard is amazing love it but well out of my price range. I paid less for my first house 40 years ago but I can dream

I like the logo but also the red sweep second hand against the dark  blue face and stainless hands.  Classy!

Love it. I've got an old beat up one , same colour dial. I was amazed  at its accuracy and amplitude on the grapher

To be honest it’s a replica.  I don’t think I would pay that much for watch also.  It’s the most accurate one I’ve seen.  Thanks for the compliment!  I’ll post some pics as soon I get it.

I also picked up a couple of interesting movements. Well they look interesting to me, particularly the Fleurier Watch Company one with the fancy regulator.

A centenarian "H Samuel" branded Exactima - Most likely produced by H. Samuel / H. Williamson Ltd. Uhrwerke,; Büren, Schweiz;  Some time between 1910 and 1920.

This was in a lot with two other watches. A no name, ladies gunmetal pocket watch I would guess from around 1890 which probably has balance issues and a Services 5 jewels Art Deco wrist watch probably from some time between the 1930s and 1950s which the seller claims has a broken mainspring.

The Exactima looks to be complete, and indeed was listed as "One Exactima H.Samuel 7 jewel pocket watch with broken mainspring but complete." - Time will tell whether that is an accurate description. Hopefully the seller can tell the difference between a mainspring and a balance. Mainsprings are a whole lot easier to come by than balances for these old watches. 

If I can get it running, I think it should look quite attractive, despite its modest origins. The nickel case should polish up nicely

Needless to say these are prospective 404 club candidates since the ebay lot cost just under seven pounds.

Not so much what's coming but what's arrived. I feel very lucky to win these two. Especially the Timex 100, lovely blue face. I didn't know Timex used a swiss movement back in 1975. Was it a short lived thing, or was this a more expensive Timex back then?

Sadly it's not running very well, looking forward to finding out why. Couldn't wait to have a peek inside so posted a couple pictures too.

      Unfortunately I'm not that lucky. I started on the train side and after I noticed the binding I pulled everything out except the driving wheel to rule everything else out. It still binds. I'm going to double check that the pinion is fully seated on the staff first, then if no joy I'll push the bridge jewel up a fraction of a mm. Fingers crossed!

      Thank you for the advise!! It worked. The setting screw was a lock/unlock to remove the rotor.

      I have that French tech sheet too, it is a little different than the English one (eg, it doesn't have the auto works diagram). BTW, it looks like you are looking up the case number in the 1979 ABC supplement. The 1974 ABC catalog does have the 3093 case. As you determined it takes the 1222-5 crystal.  When I serviced my President 'A' (which also takes that crystal), I was able to fit a 29.8 crystal from my DPA crystal assortment. Those are, in my opinion, a great deal. The assortment comes with 10 sizes each from 27.8mm to 32.4mm in 0.2 increments. I pretty much use them for any non-armored crystal that takes a high dome crystal. I think they no longer make them but Cousins has still has some in stock but when I bought them they were around $40 for the set and now they are around $100. Still, at 40 cents a crystal it's still a good deal. For the large driving wheel, I remember I once assembled the keyless/motion works first and when I placed the large driving wheel it was interfering with the setting wheel on the dial side as the teeth were not fully meshing and it wouldn't fully seat. If that isn't the issue I got nothing and am looking forward to see how you solve it 🙂

      Not sure, but just looking at it, it seems like the screw on the right may be a fake? The one on the left may not be a screw in the regular sense at all, rather a 2 position device, I think you need to point the slot towards either of the 2 dots and one will secure and one will open. Like I said this is just my best guess looking at the pictures.
