Sicura Chrono 17 Jewel Finished

Hi guys, just thought I'd share details of the watch I'd just finished for a friend. The movement is an eb8420-73, the watch was sent to me as a non runner. After teardown, clean & initial inspection, I found the friction spring for chronograph runner was missing a finger & the chronograph second hand had stuck to the glass. after the rebuild I had a problem with the balance & end shake. Dial side down it ran ok'ish, but dial side up it completely stopped. First I tried a new complete balance, it did help but I still had issues. Then I managed to source a new balance bridge complete with balance etc.. & this resolved the issue.

It turned out nicely . Love the orange hands . Can't really say i love those EB movements though . They look very interesting but hate to work on them :P

Outstanding walk through. It's uncommon for someone to work on these Bettlach pin-levers, and I'm glad to see more information on them.

well done, this was the first (pin pallet / chronograph ) i had worked on, and the only time i needed the luminous orange spray too!

Not every ones cup of tea, I have one, pin pallet as with yours.

I just found it in one of my boxes, just hated to see it not going, heavy old beast .

Cleaned and serviced mine too, they seam to have a bit of a following.

Beautiful breakdown and rebuild.  I love the economy movement hidden on the inside while the exterior is on par with any 70's Breitling or Heuer.

Pin pallet movements can be challenging to get running properly, but very much worthwhile.
