Hi WRT forum. Just a guest/drop-in here, but I have an old Lavina watch that I found among my mother's possessions many years ago. It still works once wound up (takes a few minutes to kick in). On the back it says it's stainless steel back, waterproof, Swiss made, antimagnetic, incabloc, 21 jewels, with a number also (1038175). It has very small numbers at the five minute marks on the outside area from these (like, 20, 25, 30 etc). The face is fairly dirty, but is a great old fashioned design (I'll post a picture if anyone wants one. Would anyone have an idea if this watch would be worth fixing up? And any tips on where/who might do this also appreciated

Hello and welcome.  21 jewels and incabloc mean it's decent quality, we do need photos.  When you say is it worth fixing up it depends on various factors.  It may be a decent quality watch but of little monetary value but high sentimental value. Watches that are running usually just need a service.

Ahh thanks Richard. I will try to upload a picture. I actually have no idea if it's an old watch of my dad's or who or where it came from. Would be fantastic to see it restored though (any suggestions of where/who to do this ....in Melbourne.... welcome).
