Ronda 505 movement

Hello everyone, I am brand new to the site and a novice watch repairer having just become interested in the hobby..My question is in regards to a watch I tried repairing with a broken Ronda 505 movement. I removed the hands from the old 505 but the new 505 calender movement I received had a small oblong piece of metal attached to the hands spindle which was not on the removed old 505 movement..Do I just remove this part or does it have some useage? Thank you..

Hello and welcome.

Yes remove it . It retains the hour wheel.  Fit the dial and re fit the hands then power up the movement, should be ok, run without the case first to check all is well.
