I've Just Bought This Clock.

I just grabbed this nice Antique French marble portico clock garniture. It strikes on a bell and its of 8days duration.

What do you think.

Up date on this clock. I'm sending it back and asking for a full refund. It doesn't work it keeps stopping, so I took the movement out of the case and what a shock, its filthy dirty and needs a good clean, the warning wheel on the strike side has been fitted wrong, barrel teeth on the going side have been broken this I expect is due to a main spring breaking and the teeth have been replaced with steel pins. All the steel from all the wheels has been pitted including the pinions due to previous rusting. The regulating wheels were not engaged. Al in all a big disappointment for me as the case is in very good condition.  :pulling-hair-out:

I'm not going to do that, my eyes are not so good and I no longer have my clock making tools or materials all I have are a few screw drivers. I have seen two other clocks that I'm interested in. I'll let the forum know how things go.
