How do you mount an item into the tailstock?

I want to polish some screw heads to prepare them for bluing.  I plan to mount a felt polishing pad with some metal polish in the headstock, and mount a screw in the tailstock, or vice versa.  Then bring the two together and let the polishing action happen.  But I cannot figure out how to secure something in the tailstock.  Any help or ideas are appreciated.

I could always hold a screw in a pin vise and hold it to the felt pad, but I'd rather let the machine do the work.
