Diy Heating Table

Hi Guys,

Some time ago Ive made for myself DIY heating table for all work which need higher tempreture - from palet stones adjustment to blueing hands. It seems to work fine, Ive successfully blued few items so it keeps temp as required. It use PID temp controller, 200W patron heater and temp probe type K (last 2 things mounted to piece of brass). This is budget construction, so no expensive devices inside. PID controller needed some modification as they sell it as working with SSD relay but they usually not... (very simple, just remove standard relay and replace with wires). Heater is drived by SSD relay 25A (far too much) Ive seen set - PID+SSD+termocouple for 18$ on ebay + case + brass (most expensive hehe). I think I spend about 50$ for everything. There are some things which are not needed - I wanted detachable heater for better storage options :).

spirit lamp is an open fire, and I have all my staf at home with small child - not good combination. Plus it let work with shelac for longer as temperature could be keept at desired level. Apart of that its nothing wrong with spirit lamp :) I think this device is more forgiving for my mistakes hehe and gives better controll, but thats me.
