spool propulsion for Steiner jacot tool

Recommended Posts

I acquired a Steiner jacot pivot burnisher from France, in excellent condition for a good price. It has both the bow for propulsion and the spring-loaded spool. The spring on the spool seems okay.  But I am getting stumped with rigging and arming the spring-driven spool with 0X fishing tippet into the jacot frame. I can get it threaded, wrapped, and into the tool but the spool drum immediately unspools the line. Does anyone know of a document or online video with tips for rigging and inserting the spring-loaded spool into the jacot tool?
