Yet another noob!

Hello from Denver Colorado! I stumbled upon my interest in watch repair by accident thanks to the YouTube algorithm introducing me to the Wristwatch Revival channel. After watching more hours of watch restoration videos than I care to admit and many more hours researching online, I went ahead and bought some tools and some cheap 'parts/repair' manual wind watches off ebay to try to fix. That was no more than a month ago and my obsession has only continued to grow, and I'm exited to have found this community so early in my learning.

A little background about me: Born in Seattle Washington in 1999, I've always loved to tinker and gravitate towards any mechanical system I can get my hands on. As a child the only toys I was interested in were Lego (Technic of course!), anything remote controlled, snap circuits, model cars, and others of the sort. My interest in cool mechanisms also drew me to learn the accordion, which I started at some point in high school. In college I was driven by my desire to understand everything, which lead me to a Bachelor's degree in computer science and a minor in physics (not surprising since creating algorithms and working with the schrodinger equation are both just tinkering in a more abstract sense). After college I ended up in the cyber security industry, which again is just tinkering with someone else's code.

Thanks for reading, and I look forward to being a part of this community.
