Filling in/fixing rough case horns?

Hi all,

I posted a while back about a cyma with a bent case horn. I managed to mostly get that fixed up, tried with a strap and am happy with its current status.

This watch must have been well worn in its time, with a metal bracelet. The bottom horns are very chewed up. They will hold a spring bar but I thought I could maybe secure things a bit more.

Please see photos.

My thought was that I would fill in the gaps with a jb weld style metal epoxy and then file down. Yes, the colour is all wrong, but it is in a location that is not very, or at all, visible.

Does anyone else have any ideas to take care of this, that I could diy? Not looking to send away for laser welding and the like.

Thanks as always.
