Still working on my Westclox

Recommended Posts

This is a La Salle, auto winding wrist watch. Opening it up reveals what I believe is an EB15785N movement, which is a self-wind adaptation of an EB1504. This is a pin-lever movement from the late 1950's, used into the 1960's. The watch itself is in the first two photos. The movement in the following two. This will be my first attempt at disassembly, cleaning, and assembly, and I am ready to start, but am uncertain about the lubrication. I can't find any lube specifications on this movement. The watch is in running condition, self-wind and all, and has about a 30 hour power reserve when fully wound. I am considering leaving the mainspring alone, and cleaning and lubing the rest. Can anyone point me to some lube specs, or should I just go back to first principles?

Best,

Del
