Hi @MF60, I got my Benrus Citation but it has a ESA9158 movement inside.

I now understand how your battery terminal shifted to the side. That thin piece of metal is spot welded to a metal track embedded in the plastic moulding. The spot weld must have failed and the battery terminal is loose.

Opening the Benrus caseback was no easy task and a specialised tool was required. Perhaps you should keep this project for the future, when your tool collection and skills have caught up.
