1901 Waltham Pocket Watch Alive And Ticking Again!

Recommended Posts

It needed to be moved over there to get it holding good time. But now that it has run through a few full winds and all the new oil is worked in I gave it a 24 hour test run stem up. It gained 2 min over that 24 hours so I will be bringing the regulator back a tad.

This one was a pretty straight forward service. Just had to replace a few missing screws then a good cleaning and relube and she started ticking away. It's amazing how hard and gunked up old oil gets when it sits this long.

I now turn my attention to a Hamilton from the same time period. It will run somewhat face up but stops in any other position. Should also be pretty straight forward. I'll post some pics when it's done.
