Not for "hairspring", for single word searches no quoting is necessary. The original question was about "timing screws" and "timing washers", to search for that literally you need to use double quotes, otherwise an OR search of all words entered is performed.

Pardon my pedantry. Unfortunately the search function of the forum is not the best around, it doesn't even do all what it promises, so I was trying to explain one thing that at least does right.
