I think what jdm is trying to put over in double quotes is        "hairspring"    The quotes as such ive it a try.

Not for "hairspring", for single word searches no quoting is necessary. The original question was about "timing screws" and "timing washers", to search for that literally you need to use double quotes, otherwise an OR search of all words entered is performed.

Hi  just trying to give an example of the use on the double quotes,  in the .  case of searching for a string ie  "hairspring collet"    as said a single word its not needed.  not the best example.
