Diving into watch repair

I've always been interested in watches and clocks, and pretty much anything mechanical. For the last year or so I've been watching hundreds of repair videos, and finally decided to take the plunge.

I'm already into scale modeling, and used to do a lot of radio control, so I've got a pretty good stock of small tools and magnification. I fleshed them out with a bunch from Cas-Ker, and here I am taking apart my first movement: an Elgin 345. It's a non-working movement I picked up to practice on so I wouldn't ruin the running and very nice Elgin pocketwatch I also picked up. You'll find my first question in the forum shortly 😉

About me personally, I live up here in the woods of northern NJ, and am the owner/brewer of Man Skirt Brewing in Hackettstown. Not a bad gig!
