Timex Cal.M101 lever

Recommended Posts

Just working on one of my ladies watches which I try and repair my local charity.  It was not running and it appears that one of the pins on the lever has snapped off, the other pin and pivots are fine. Rest of the watch and mov't seems in good condition, so saleable if working.  Searched high and low for cheap movt or lever without success.  Can any of the members help?  Would it be possible to replace the pin in the lever?  It is only 0.09-0.10 mm diameter measured using my digital calipers?  Is hardened or spring wire available this diameter?

Yes ... this is a PITA. Cost effectiveness of repairing pin lever movements is always questionable and parts often difficult to track down; even donor movements.

I've used the shank of a 0.1mm micro drill bit in the past where I had just such a problem. Might be an avenue if no-one comes up with a better suggestion.
