Help Removing a Cannon Pinion

Recommended Posts

Hi,

Does anyone have any suggestions for removing a cannon pinion? I have tried using tweeters but can't get good enough grip and they slip off. The dial train is set into the movement so a typical cannon pinion remover would not be able to reach underneath.

Thanks,

NovemberNeptune

You tap that out using your small bench hammer. Remove the small screws that hold the key gard, place it upside down on something that is strong and so the key square can be in a hole to give you a nice firm holding place, some bench blocks have holes or if you have a staking tool.
