Testing the waters of watch repair

Recommended Posts

I’ve loved watches my whole life and I’ve recently begun testing the waters of repair. Bought a few vintage beaters to get some practice and I’m really enjoying it!  Hope to continue and gain more knowledge.  I now understand the difference between cheap tools and good tools.  It’s really amazing!

Thank you for your introduction and welcome to this friendly forum.

When it comes to tools buy the best you can afford. I recommend dumont tweezers and Bergeon watchmakers screwdrivers. A tip on eyeglasses, they fog up so drill a small hole in the side. You might find this helpful.
