Hi,
Unfortunately I have had no joy in progressing the watch repair and getting a new crown fitted. My understanding so far to get a new crown fitted is that first I need to identify the movement. I have no idea or skills how to do this. I would be happy to pay someone to examine the watch and tell me what the movement is, preferably someone i can post to in the UK. Once the movement is known it might help me find the crown.
I have ordered a new strap from the US and my H screw remover tool has arrived and removed the h screws so that side is progressing well.
I really hope someone can help as I don’t want to give up on this project. Thanks

if you only needed the crown you don't usually need the movement. But if the crown came out and took the stem with it then you would need to move it to get the stem. Plus if the stem came out it's possible the setting parts of been damaged. Basically need to find a watchmaker maybe try the link below?

to me, this looks like an Asian 7750 Movement. But they come in at least 2 Versions

(read the Story in the Replica-watch-forum...). I believe you could use a Stem from an

ETA 7750 on this Movement, i believe it should fit. But....the Stem could be either wit S0.9 or S1.2

Thread and the Crown has to have the same Thread as the Stem. Additionaly you have to bring the Stem

to the correct Lenght, so the Crown will have a snug Fit. This is not so easy....

hope this helps a bit

I agreed it looks like a 7750 or clone. Thanks to Sirius for explaining what that meanwhile in terms of interchangability. Opening the back should be no problem, and removing (what's left of) the stem, the movement from the case, then the hands and dial to check for damage to the keyless works can all be done by a cautious person with a few simple tools (and support from this forum). Depending on what you find, you might then have no option but to seek professional help.
