Day date 4R36

Hi, can anyone tell me what I’m doing wrong here? If I turn the crown the black middle wheel won’t turn and is off course supposed to turn. It looks like it has not enough force or something idk. Thanks!

Hi Whats the make and caliber.  Does evrything else work ok  day date change, handset etc.

Yes everything works but if I try to set the day it pushes but it doen’t have enough force or something.

Hi  If you have the caliber and make I will look for the tech sheet, sounds like there is a bind or jam. One wat to determine the problem is to remove the wheels untill it turns then re attach them and when it stops you will have the culprit.       cheers

The post heading suggests that it is a Seiko 4R36 (NH36). I'm wondering if the issue is because the attempted manual day change is too close to the midnight position of the movement? Try winding the movement forward a few (5 or 6) hours then trying the day change again.....

Hi If as JohnD remarked  its a seiko  then find the attached tech sheet and instructions.

The exploded drawing will show you order in which the parts fit enabling you to remove them in sequence and re assemble again
