Hello Everyone,

I'm Colin. I enjoy mechanical watches and with a young family, I'm expanding my collection to include chronographs and other pieces for my wife and daughter. As my items age I'm more and more interested in repair and maintenance.

 

I wear an automatic Omega every day 1999 Seamaster (Date, Auto, White on SS) But I've picked up a few oddball pieces to wear for fun. I'm curious to learn more about horology. The immediate reason I was googling about this was because my Seamaster needs a 5-year service for the 4th time. It is losing time very slightly. Maybe 40 seconds per day. The prices I was quoted for this service are significantly higher than they were 15, 10 and even 5 years ago. So I thought I'd look for an independent person/company this time.

 

Not sure what else to say. I'm looking forward to learning from you all.
