Hey

I am looking to buy a second hand seitz can anyone tell me if these are worth me asking about. My lnowledge of them is very slim so ny questions i should ask would be a great help.

Hi Gary there is no mention of the reamers or stakes etc best look for a set with the accessories as it could be expensive buying the bits piecemeal. The one pictured below with all the bits has a starting bid of £45.

the first link is too expensive and as already mentioned it's missing all the important bits and pieces that you have to have to use the tool.

to understand the tool and bits and pieces I've attached a PDF of the manual. Which also should have been included with all of these kits at one time.

then if you won the lottery a really big lottery and had zero interest in money this next link is what you would buy except it's missing something? Technically it's missing two things it's missing the physical book and the jewel plate. Jewel plate is really useful a whole bunch of jewels in a plate of cascading sizes used to measure pivots size. But it does let you see in color what things look like. The reason I made the reference to money has no importance is because you typically never use all of the set. It all has uses but typically you just never use everything is only the key parts it ever get used. Then typically this will run around the thousand dollars if it's complete.

then this is typically what I think of for a set. The older sets the bits and pieces are in a woodblock. Later on it's a red plastic. The holder for the reamers goes in the side of the block. So typically when you're looking at the said it's hiding if somebody hasn't taken it out. Then the only unfortunate thing about this set is does look like surface rust?
