Vintage omega 18k ladies watch

I have come to own a vintage ladies omega watch and it has a 18k gold stamp on its back. Can anyone advise what should be fair value of this watch ( I am considering it should be worth something being omega and gold and all ). And what would be the best channel to sell it. The watch is in working condition IMG_20201119_220400.thumb.jpg.d6112099b3e8e01d5ca661b331055bce.jpg

Thanks in advance

A ward of advice. This applies to the UK. Do not except the first offer. If it is a genuine Omega you need to take it to around three different places to see how much they will offer you. It will depend on the weight of the gold. Any thing that is not gold they will remove that might include the glass if the case is gold. Do you intend to sell it for scrap or or are you wanting an insurance value they will ask you as the prices differ a hell of a lot. Are you sure it is a genuine Omega? If you are not sure post a photo of the movement and we can tell you. Just make sure you don't get taken for a ride.

I would be suspicious if this is a real Omega? It might be but that stamping on the back looks pretty bad. The movement would really give us a clue.

That is why I asked because those hands don't look like Omega hands. They look like something you would find on an inexpensive watch the same goes for the winding button.

On a wider point many vintage watches that were incased in either Silver or Gold have had their movements removed for the scrap value of the metals. Hence on eBay you will find hundreds of pocket watch movements with NO case. Sad but a fact.

Sorry was not in town so couldn't upload the pics , I opened up the movement and though I am no expert it looks like you all are right , it definitely looks a fake. I really never knew that there are fakes for the vintage watches . Sad ?
