Camerer cuss stopwatch

Recommended Posts

Hi I am trying to look into the history of this stopwatch, others I have looked at have an extra button on the top and the second dial is at the top of the watch. It's face glass is missing. The hands have a bluish tint. There is a number 148317. Any clues greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I found this.

Camerer Kuss & Co, 522 New Oxford St, established 1788, becoming Camerer Cuss in 1914 in response to the anti-German feeling at the outbreak of World War One. The firm is known to have retailed clocks, many German made, but they also sold English made watches. Theo Cuss took to dealing in antique watches in the 20th century, writing two books on the subject, a practise which has been continued by his son Terence.
