Saying hello and sharing my favourite wristwatch

Greetings everyone,

Thank you for welcoming me to the forum, I look forward to learning from, and getting to know all the active members. 

I'll keep things somewhat short, I'm a big fan of vintage watches, I don't own an abundance but I have some favourites I would love to share with everyone.

The reason I've sought out this forum and your expertise is to try and restore the band on a Birks wristwatch from 1976. So look forward to helping me with that (please), i'll post shortly once i find the appropriate place.

Here is a hopefully appropriate shot of my daily love affair (1971 ref.1019). Excuse the nitrile gloves, it was early days during these strange times.
