Spelling lost in translation...English engaving to English text lol. I think the engraver actually messed up and then tried to rectify it with a half attempted r. Notice the apostrophe over the r and the enlarged over the i dot with half the r.....and then he thought "oh fuk it " 😅 Thats a big piece to mess-up and have to remake , one of the lads may have done it and then probably got a good hiding when the old man saw it. 😅 -
So it ended up about 13 hours out somehow! I thought there was an issue with the hands catching (related to my relume) so I took off to fit another pair, one of which killed the plastic hour gear! Not gone well then, though fortunately I kept the old movement for spares, so I've managed to get it all back together and working today after much messing with the date change... I wonder if the date change gear was causing issues, though might be that I reassembled wrong - it wasnt happy but after changing the gear and plate from the other movement it's all working again. I'm really hoping the hour hand issue is sorted - feel like I deserve so e good luck on that front but won't know for a week or so... I'm likely out of my depth here! A picture to mark the rare occasion that hour dial is more or less correct!

That's a bit like asking - My car has broken down, do you know what is wrong and how much it will cost to repair ? What is the watch movement, when was it last serviced? Do you have pics? When you say it was working, how well - do you have a timing machine?

I also see it as a kind of safety mechanism. It can be a decoupler between auto and manual wind too. I did not lubricate the springy arms. Next time I‘ll apply a bit of grease on the expected circular glide path of the spring tips.
