Can anyone identify this pocket watch calibre

Recommended Posts

I'm trying to find out the calibre number for this antique pocket watch. I believe it is a Schild Freres pocket watch movement as it has a cross with the letters PROT across the horizontal bar. From the serial number, 979714, I would estimate 1898. The movement diameter is 19 lignes. Any help in identifying this calibre would be greatly appreciated.

Eterna 19'''H5.7 as per Ranfft.

That's what I originally thought but the keyless works including the location of the stem removal screw are quite different. Mine predates those by quite a few years too I think. I wonder if the only way of knowing would be to email Eterna. Perhaps their records go back to the Schild Freres days.
