1971 Bulova Deep Sea case back

Recommended Posts

Newby and first post. Before I go any further with this acquisition, can anyone confirm whether the case back on my Deep Sea is friction fitted or screw down? If a screw down, where might I find the unique case wrench required

Thanks,

Patrick

Sorry forgot to mention  They are usually screw down,  A sticky ball will also remove them if they are not too tight again available on ebay.

Thanks for the quick reply. You say they are "usually" a screw down. So is that to say this model has been made with both friction fit and screw down case backs? Sticky ball won't budge it if it is indeed a screw down and my LG case wrench doesn't come with this type of attachment.

Hi Just be aware of the fact that I have seen watches with snap on backs with that design but the  Flats    are not as well defined as the one you have so on that basis I would say its a screw on. Some backs can be well tight and take quite a bit of force.
