Stereo microscope setup

How do you setup a stereo microscope such that it doesn't give you a neckache, backache and with good wrist support.

I have a stereo microscope in my lab which I use for soldering work. The bench height is not ideal but soldering work normally just takes seconds to complete.

When I use it for watch repair work, after 10 minutes the neck and back hurts and the shakes start.

Could you guys show me how you setup your microscopes?

Thanks.

The 2nd of Watcher's pictures is how most people seem to do it. I use a base (like in his first picture) placed between my lathe and the motor.

There are also some stands which are like heavy-duty sprung lamp stands, and the old surgical microscope stands are often counterbalanced (I once frustratingly missed such a stand by a couple of hours on ebay while awaiting a message from the seller).
