I know this is a long shot but anyone know were i can get a glass/crystal for a omega cal 565 case number 166.026.

It don't need to be by omega just as long as it fits. I have tried measuring the size i need but i keep getting different sum.

Cousinuk.com  Or Ofrei.com.  OEM Omega aint cheap.  You could size a 3rd part crystal with tension ring.  You need the correct die for your press for tension ring crystals

Hi Gary   cousins should be able to supply  what are you using to measure the glass/case..    use a vernier gauge.

You need to measure from 12 to 6 or 9 to 3 inside. A vernier gauge like this is the best. Here is a cheap one.

Don't bother trying to fit a generic crystal on the Cosmic front-loader cases. You'll end up with it not mating with the case and dial correctly. Get the correct part.

Somewhere in the universe there should be a cross reference guide for Omega that explains how you're supposed to modify the numbers to find things. So as noted above by canthus I have more or less the same link below. Then with the crystal number I found some additional specifications for the crystal. Also found another seller selling the crystal at the second link..

I apologize for the second link I had casually look to make sure I thought they would sell to the general public. Especially if there selling out estate tax things shouldn't be an issue. I know locally one of the material houses I do business with she will sell tools to individuals because she collects tax from everybody then on the matériel you have to have a reseller license or business license or something. But you're right I went through their fact thing and their very clearly wholesale.

You do have to be careful on eBay because when I initially search for the number they suggested all sorts of happy answers of crystals that didn't exactly have the right number some make sure these actually really are the right number. The Poland one is cheaper but they charge shipping and who knows how long it takes for things to travel now if it travels at all.

The first link looks promising and they claim it's in stock?

hey

glass came today its 1 mmout by my calc.

The glass that came is 29.8mm and it needs to be 30.8 mm so john if you have that page were you got the 29.8mm one from i may be able to order next size up.

This might finally answer the question about omega and there coding.

So the very last reply by StuartBaker104 Has what I think is the solution to the problem. If you enter the case number in a variety of databases the decimal point isn't really a decimal point is just a separator and you need four digits. If you don't specify What the fourth digit is the various databases will fill in a number. So we had assumed that case number 166.026 was the same as 166.0260 just because we found parts for it but it is obviously not the correct case number. So for instance in the above discussion I found a link to Omega with the case number but we weren't paying attention because the movement was wrong and of course they filled in the fourth digit which is also wrong. So if you go to Omega with what we perceive is the correct case number we get the following link which seems to have the right movement?

The only problem is the dimensions do not appear to be correct for the crystal?

It seems odd that your measurement is so far out Gary.  Can you post a photo of the case markings?

I think the markings look fine compared to other photos on the interwebs, and there is no doubt about the case number. Also no doubt that PZ5123 is the listed part for this case.

Cousins has the old Sternkreuz R19 catalogue scanned on its site. Page 163 lists their Omega equivalents, but there is nothing in the 30.8 range, to help find an Omega part number: https://www.cousinsuk.com/document/category/watch-glasses

PZ5123 equivalent is listed as XAC 330.553 which are about £6-7.

There is a wealth of other information in this catalogue about sizing and fitting glasses which is useful.

If you are certain this needs a 30.8 crystal, then I think you will need to buy the closest match you can find to the installed one (see page 50 of the above).

The only other thing I can think is that you aren't measuring it right... what are you using for that?

It's a vernier I think but it's a cheap one. A sliding ruler type thing 2 point. 1 point on 1 side other opposite side. 

Tried it on crystals I know the size of and it's onlt been 0.1mm out on 6 crystals. Sorry if I am late answering I am thinking of buying a omega seamaster professional 300m james bond automatic it's a 2004 model Ltd edition I can have it for 1500 pound all papers and box and all service receipts.so been. A bit sidetracked

These monobloc cases have an Omega crystal removal tool reference on the back, which tells you the size of the crystal. Found this table

Yes - Cousins has that scanned too, but the old book has loads more useful info in it
