If you have to say something then express it as an opinion and not fact, otherwise you will start to sound like Donald Trump.

is this opinion or fact?  Well unless you meant to say the socialist democrats :)   in my opinion that is.

The problem is we can't answer the question it depends upon where you live. Then we also have the rules keep changing.

For instance I live in the state of Washington I believe we might I had the first death in the US from the virus. Basically what they're trying to do is slow the spread of the disease unfortunately can't stop it they're just trying to slow it down its overloading the health care system. So slowly all sorts of things were terminated. It was visible in that freeway traffic has dropped almost nothing sort of? Places like malls the number of people there of dropped to nothing Monday there was nothing in the mall but I work at. The store manager and me were questioning our sanity of even coming to work. But that problem is solved now the governor was unhappy that not everybody was staying home so an executive order was issued I've pasted the text below.

"The proclamation states it’s still safe for people to go outside as long as they remain at least six feet from each other. Grocery stores, doctor’s offices and other essential businesses will remain open. People can still participate in activities such as bike rides, gardening, and dog walking — as long as they follow social distancing rules."

So watch repair in the state of Washington would not be considered an essential business at least to the governor. So if you are caught driving your vehicle all by yourself to your business they haven't quite formulated what the penalties would be but it really wouldn't Be in your best interest to do so.

watch making  in Seattle;  could be brought home for the virus duration ?  i feal sorry for anyone in Seattle.  the governer and his lawer ( Side show bob )  are outstanding "nut cases". if there is to be a vote this year they will be gone. Trump will help that along.    later    vin

The 1918 epidemic killed 50 million out of a population of about 1 billion. In today's numbers that would translate into 450 million , or roughly the whole population of North America. it was a VERY NASTY BUG. . Let us not forget a virus is a living thing, which must mutate in order to survive, because as we become immune it dies.Every so often it mutates in a very pernicious way. As for the Donald ,I used to work in the cemetery where his parents are buried.I locked him in several times, after he came to visit their graves. He was always a gentleman. However, if you step on his toes, he will not say thank you.

    • Instead of using tweezers, put a piece of rodico onto a toothpick or pegwood. Then set your spring to the rodico, this way the spring is not under any tension when floating it back into the bloc. As you bump into the bloc when trying to find the entrance the rodico will give but still holds onto the spring ie. You wont have the rigidity of tweezers.
    • If frank says these bombè jewels are for balances and similar pivots then they are used cupped side facing the pivot and then capped i assume. In Nicklesilver's reply i guess that cup can also be reversed and used as an oil reservoir leaving the shoulder riding on a less frictioned domed surface. 🤷‍♂️ Hence the use of them on wheels closer to the escapement that have less torque requiring efforts to reduce friction and are also uncapped.
    • Looks that way, if it had any amount of significant jewel count it would say so on the dial.    Looks that way, if it had any amount of significant jewel count it would say so on the dial.  Same answer as Mike regarding the dial, its often just a slapped on name of a retailer but i thought you were way above this understanding Pete ?
    • Light naptha is what you need to be looking for. The carbon to hydrogen ratio is high with heavy naptha, it doesn't evaporate as well as light naptha and is prone to leaving more residue. Try tom's suggestion of the mirror test.
    • Its a big item Michael and a lot that could go wrong with the process of getting it to its new location. I once helped install one of these units into a conservatory that i had built. It was big and bloody heavy and took six of us to get it in safely. If you have sliding doors and you need to remove the whole frame then that may or may not go well. But i would advise getting a professional in if you have little knowledge on the installation of them. The glazing of the doors could well be 6mm laminated glass which again will be heavy very heavy if the glazing units are big. The glass would also need to be set up and packed correctly to open the doors properly more so if they are unframed and the sliders are upvc. Seems a shame but if no one is biting and that may be due to having no warranty i guess the only takers might be someone that installs them for a living and knows how to repair. If its fibreglass just be careful, i sometimes have to cut fibreglass baths out and they are nasty to work with . Thick gloves are definitely recommended,  not fun picking out fibreglass spells two days later that have started to go septic. Good luck with it all matey.
