ESA 926.311 Long Shot....

I recently acquired an Avia Alarm Quartz watch, from the '80s. Unfortunately, it has water damage, and although the watch itself has cleaned up nicely, the movement doesn't work.

The mechanicals look okay, but the circuit board is toast and I think the coil has gone too. It's a real shame, as the alarm function makes it a bit unusual I think.

The long shot referred to in the title is, does anyone have a movement or circuit board and coil, or seen one for sale anywhere?

There have been some on eBay in the past, but nothing at the moment.

You can use an ohm meter and test it in various ways to eventually pin point which part (or parts) is not working...

That's how I found out that the coil was bust on a watch with an ETA ESA quartz, once.

I don't think i do. But can have a look. Coil you can buy on cousinsuk  if that is broken.

That is an option, but would cost a small fortune by the time I got it over here. Not sure the watch is worth that much lol..

you can get a digital multimeter at places like harbor freight for next to nothing. no need to guess when ordering parts.
