Cheers from Sweden

Hello,

I just joined this site and I hope to learn. I was interested in watches already as a young boy and I also destroyed my first movement well before the age of 10.

A few years back I started to collect watches, mainly Soviet produced chronometers and chronographs. Some of them needed attention and it was impossible to find any watchmaker in Sweden willing to take on my beloved watches. Then I bought some tools and started to tinker myself. So that is how it started.

My major interest is the Soviet time pieces mentioned above but I am also interested in German WWII watches. There are a few Swiss made watches in the collection as well.

It will be nice to meet you.

Thanks, Roland

Welcome, I only had a barrel cover fly off like a rocket last week and after a good 2 hours search still not found. Luckily the part is still available. I have put it down to a watch part fairy who comes and visits me from time to time
