One of them I thought to be a Ventura but now I think it’s a Pacer. The thing is though, I don’t think it’s got either of those movements inside!  I’m going to put up some pics for everyone’s amusement. Is anyone Out there a Hamilton fan?

Hi  Hamilton auto;s used ETA movements so it is possible its is as fitted, manufactruers of watches use all manner of movements in their finished product. The name on the dial is usualy the finisher .   example   Boss. Kalvin Klien, Micheal Kors etc. Its always best to check the movement make and caliber when working on watches reason being if spares are required its that information that is required

Thanks Watchweasol!  This can’t be the original movement though, right?

I was kinda hoping your response above was a joke and you're not seriously asking if that's the original movement?

In case it's a serious question that most definitely is not the original movement the original movement has a balance wheel and yes it has a battery also. The first link shows you what the movements should look like and if you're really curious get the book found at the second link.

Well,  I'd like to play it cool and tell you that of course I was joking.....but it was more an expression of disbelief.  In the back of my mind I knew it had to be a 500 or a 505,  but I was distracted.;(  I did manage to get the movement separated from the case and dial, now need to see if I can scare up a suitable 505 somewhere.
