Low escape wheel

Hello,

I am working on a Citizen 8200a movement that was running slow, I took it apart cleaned it and started putting it back together but the escape wheel decided to troll me and sit lower than the pallet fork and not even reach the bridge and the second wheel.

I checked the pivot,the jewel (which is flush with the face of the plate i thought I somehow have pushed it down but apparently I havent and it's not broken) and the bridge ian't bent and what is annying me is the watch was running.

By the way the main bridge or what ever it's called on this movement is a pain in the neck to put back in place I don't like it.

Did you remove the end stones if any? If so have you put them back in the right order. I would like to see some photos as I can't remember much about this cal movement, both side of the plates please.  

There is no end stones on this movement (I have done this mistake before ^_^)

Hi I fitting the wheel the right way I am sure of that, I have a couple of spare wheels from another movement I'll see if the fit and have a try although the pivits on this wheel looks absolutely fine but I am out of ideas

I think you are right on this, or the pivot has been replaced at sometime and slipped in a tad further than was first fitted..

Sure you got the other wheels in the right way up or in there jewels . Could be tricky to get all pivots in place. And the click is in place on the ratchet wheel.

Not the easiest to align all pivots on this . Has snapped pivots to. BTW which wheel do you mean? The wheel for the second hand don't have a pivot . Sweep second pinion it's called.  Think it's a spring that holds it down or up .

I meant the wheel that meshes with the escape wheel I was so frustrated when I made that comment didn't think of the terminology (not that I know what it's called any way).

I have another spare movement coming my way hopefully I can get it right this time  ^_^
