I have a bracket link that has a huge scratch in it (not the one in the picture) . Far too deep to repair. Is it possible to remove and replace the fixed links, the end one that sits in the case? How do you do it?

Post a good picture. What it may look "too deep" to you may be actually repairable. In any case, even if you were able to replace the end link, you may not able to obtain an identical one, exactly because isn't a separate part.

I have been told these links can be removed and replaced without too much damage. Apparently their is a specific tool to do it?

Does anyone know what this tool is? I read a few threads across forums and it's spoken about but I haven't actually seen it. The threads that do show how it is done have broken picture links so unfortunately no good. I would like to see this method for future reference.

If the pins are covered, being invisible to the eye there is no specific tool. One would need to precision drill and destroy the cap, then replace it it and polish together to the link, or fit a collet and leave the hole being visible.

Vise grips are mentioned, if you want to do that or any other brute force method that is, of course, entirely up to you.

I'm interested to know what the tool is. On various other forums it mentions a tool. Most of the threads I found are from around 2010 and dead.

I really think you'd better post a picture of the real bracelet you're writing about.
Sometimes scratches look like they can't be repaired but they can.

Here's the tool(s) the OP asked about.

nice find. Trying to visualise how it works.. i assume it clamps the bracelet either side and pulls it apart? The two thumbscrews on the top adjust height and the one at the end winds outwards to pull it apart.

i've asked around and not many people are aware of a tool like this? I heard Rolex use one and this must be the copy.
