Hi, I've just signed up, I've loved watches for years, but I've only just started collecting and working on them. I've got a few old Accurist and Seikos amongst a others and I'm looking for advice on cleaning and refurbishing mechanical watches. 

I'm a mechanical engineer,  but spend my time working on marine diesels, so watches are at the other end of the scale. It fascinates me how they get so many small parts working in harmony in such a tiny case.

I'll try and post some pictures soon.

     welcome to the forum !   as an engineer,   you know the tech. manual is most imporant !  HA !   BUT,  watch tinkering is  better than working on "an old lister diesel"  cramed into the laserette of a racing sloop !     cheers,   vin
