I got....(considering I broke a tool and it was replaced with a nice surprise from the wife who footed the bill!, and a brother-in-law who received one of my rebuilt watches and loves it and made a contribution too):

My wonderful wife bought me a Seiko Military watch, two Crown & Buckle NATO straps, Worn and Wound leather strap and watch roll. I only have a picture of the watch and leather strap but I'll post a picture of the rest later tonight.

My beautiful wife, knowing my penchant for large watches, bought me this automatic Ingersoll Bison:

And no, it's not designed to be worn on the right wrist - it is indeed for the left wrist, but the "works" are all pointing "uphill" so they don't jam into the back of the hand when the wrist is dorsiflexed. Very comfortable.

Each time somebody asks me what the BRB (Big Red Button) is for , I reply simply "BOOM".  It is actually used when setting times, dates, etc on the mini dials. I also told one intrigued admirer that the lever (the crown protector) was actually a flip-open secret brandy flask built into the back of the watch - and he believed me for a second or two! ;)

That is one "Beast" of a watch Doc, the crown arrangement reminds me of a safety valve on a high pressure steam boiler.

No probs with supination and pronation then? :-)

@Geo: Just today I broke one tooth of the jaxa that came in Christmas. It is supposed to work with the "Rolex" back press as an attachment. The reason is those 2 watches that have apparently rusted inside the threads (or the gasket has melted or something). In any case, I'm out of options to open them.

In fact, I was thinking about a really heavy duty back opener and the horotec popped up in my mind....now with what Micky said, I'm a little reticent as to spend the money in that tool. I'll be very grateful to hear a full report from you on that one!

@Doc: Pete, that is really a big watch and beautiful. I bet it was made so people didn't have to use glasses to read it! Perfect at my age!. Congratulations on a great present.
