Hello...and a question

Greetings.  I just discovered this group and immediately joined.  I've been fascinated with watches since I was a rather small lad.  I have a modest collection of watches and I am always on the look out for reasonably-priced entry-level Swiss automatics even though I have many more watches than I need.  I do modest repairs and I am currently trying to put a 1965 Timex Marlin (2024 2465) back into service.  It was a gift from (my now deceased parents) when I completed 8th grade.  It runs but the stem/crown was lost over time.  The Timex part number is 025-060054.  I've been unable to find one and even considered substituting the silver version (025-060053) but fared no better there.  It appears there are folks here with some appreciation for the lowly Timex. Does anyone here by chance have an idea as to where I might locate one?  Thanks.

How correct you were, oldhippy!  Thanks to JerseyMo, I received a new stem today and the old Marlin is running again--54 years after I  received it.  The last time it ran for any significant amount of time was circa 1970.   (It was then affixed to one of those horrid wide woven leather "gladiator" bands.  I'm certain it looked great with the leather patched bell-bottoms with the "guitar-strap" material at the hem.)   Just might have to service it, but for now I'm just going to enjoy watching the hands going 'round whilst recalling the folly of youth.
