american watch tool co. lathe collets

I could not find this topic anywhere so thought I would ask. I have a American watch tool co. 10mm lathe and need more collets. what types will work with this lathe? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I found out the hard way that Levin collets will not.

Proper section would be "Watch Repair Tools & Equipment", mods can move or leave if they want, no big deal anyway.

My recommendation is that you measure your collet sizes - all of them. There are table online which will tell you what is what.

if its made in USA,   the threads will be SAE pitch or maybe MM.    it is a problem.   you can find the answer in the US machinery handbook or open a new topic "lathe threads".   so we will all know.  vin
