I started with fake mechanical watches , Chinese movements 21 jewels , very cheap then on to eta and then exact copies of Rolex movements. The eta 6894 _ 2 is a nice movement they are manual wind and can be suped up easily. They are found In panerai luminor marinas pam111'S I think that is one of the first movements people in watch schools learn how to make. It's a pocket watch movement modified to fit the big ass panerai.
