Omeaga Seamaster Clasp

Recommended Posts

First of all, thanks to everyone who promptly replied to my dial dot issues last week. I think I got it sorted. I just took in a stainless Omega. The clasp will not close and the buttons are not moving freely. I put the bugger in the ultrasonic for about an hour and then added Mobeus oil around both buttons. It is a bit better but the clasp is still not closing as it should.

Does something need replaced or is there a possible adjustment ?

There is a spring inside (obviously) which gets fatigued and this is not sold separately as far as I am aware.

I have always just replaced the clasp for clients in the past, cousins sell them but not cheap.

If you are handy with spring wire you may be able to make one by opening it up and forming it to the same pattern as the old. I have never done this as I worry about clients loosing their watch so would rather just buy a new clasp, but then, I am neurotic!
