Strap pins

Hi. Firstly, is there a way that I could search previous topics to find out if I am about to repeat a previous query? 

I intend to solder some 1mm stainless pins into the drilled lugs of a case. However, I'm finding it hard to locate a source for the pins in non industrial quantities. Can anybody point me towards an outlet for 1mm stainless wire, or dowel please?

Try searching eBay for 1mm stainless steel rod. There's plenty on there in what ever quantity you need.

Damn, that's annoying. I tried Ebay earlier using 'wire' and 'pins' as the search terms. Thanks for putting me straight, there's loads under 'rods' like you say.

Alternatively you could use tinned copper wire.It solders very easily.

Cousinsuk have rods that are 1mm . I have used them many times. Otherwise buy some welding rod in  1mm . 316 steel or 304 would work.  Solid pins 1mm https://www.cousinsuk.com/product/0100mm-solid-pins

Ah yes, a coupla good ideas there!  I'll go find a welder and cadge a rod, that's a cheap option. Thank you fellas.
